Oh! Hewwo, I didn't see you there. I ought to introduce myself - I am Dustin Thiele, a relatively new addition to the Furry Fandom. Welcome to my Blog, The Journey to Becoming a Furry, where I write about what it's like to be a furry, and what kinds of things I will be doing as a furry.

I've been a furry since early 2018, and am already looking at making a fursuit for the 2019 Sandemonium (Sandpoint, Idaho's Comi-Con-like event). My Fursona is Akros Naerin Loedros, or Akky for short. He's an Ember Tiger-Fox, which is a hybridization of Tiger and Fox with the ability to manipulate fire to a great extent. I created him as a random character for an art project originally, but he ended up sticking as my fursona due to him being my first non-video-game anthro character (because I created anthros before).

You might say that I was a member of the fandom since before it was a really big thing, since I was creating anthro characters even before 2018!

Of course, I am now an OFFICIAL member of the furry fandom!

Some of the posts you will see from me will be about the creation of my fursuit for Akky, as well as posts about furry conventions (furcons), such as Furpocalypse, Anthrocon, and many many others. I hope to post often, but with limited Internet access and a full-time job, it will be somewhat difficult!
